Rice Kasha with Pumpkin
Ingredients:
Rice (12oz)
Milk (40oz)
Pumpkin (1.5 lb)
Butter (4tbsp)
Serves 6
Cooking Instructions:
1. Wash rice, add milk (24oz), add salt, and bring to
a boil; reduce heat and cook until ready. Stir to avoid
sticking
2. While cooking rice cut pumpkin in cubes
3. Combine pumpkin with rest of
the milk and bring to a boil
4. Reduce heat and simmer until ready
5. Cool pumpkin and crumble into a mix
6. After rice is ready add prepared pumpkin and butter, mix
7. Pre-heat oven (375F). Put kasha an oven (use
appropriate oven-safe cookware)
8. Cook kasha until it gets golden/brown crust
Comments:
Serve hot. Try to pour honey over kasha
on individual plates.
