Grain Recipe: Millet with Pumpkin
You can easy make it to be addition to whole
grain vegan
recipes by replacing dairy milk and butter with
soy milk and vegetable oil.
Ingredients:
Millet (8oz)
Pumpkin (1 ½ lb)
Milk (24oz)
Butter (2oz)
Sugar (2oz)
Serves 4
Cooking Instructions
1. Rinse millet with warm water
2. Cut pumpkin in small cubes
3. Add milk and bring to a boil, add salt
4. Add millet
5. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stir
occasionally
6. After kasha is ready, put the lid on tight,
wrap the
cookware with kasha in a blanket and leave for 1
hour.
