Kasha
Cooking Recipes
There
are dozens of kasha recipes that were created by
combining different grains with different ingredients and by using different kasha
cooking techniques. This leaves a door wide
open for experiments in creating new recipes.
You
can use
onions, potato,
pumpkin,
mushrooms, meat, poultry, and even dairy
products like cottage cheese – chop it and mix
it into kasha. In fact, almost anything can be
and has been added to kasha at some time or
another.
Any kasha can be great
addition to any vegetarian or vegan diet.
Actually, most of kasha recipes can be easy
modified to become vegan or vegetarian
recipes by
replacing dairy ingredients like milk and butter with their vegetarian alternatives - vegetable oil and soymilk. If the recipe calls for meats or any other animal derivative, like eggs to be used - try to substitute it with “meat-like” soy or tofu-based products. Also, to increase health benefits, you can try to add chopped steamed vegetables. It
can work not just for the vegetarian or vegan meal. There are even

food recipes, recipes for vegan
desserts, and vegetarian
