Apple Semolina Kasha
(vegetarian or vegan recipe)
Apple Semolina, when served chilled, is also
great as a dessert. This is great kids recipe.
Ingredients
Semolina (4oz)
Non-sweetened Apple Juice (16fl.oz) - better squeezed from raw apples
Butter or vegetable oil (2tbsp)
Sugar (3oz)
Raisin (4oz)
Pinch of Salt
Lemon juice (1tsp)
Serves 2
Cooking Instructions
1. Thoroughly wash raisins in warm water
2. Bring apple juice to a boil
3. Add the butter, sugar, lemon juice and salt
4. Gradually stir in the semolina constantly mixing well.
5. Add the butter, sugar and salt, mix all well
6. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10-15
minutes
Comments:
Serve chilled or at the room temperature.
